I am a huge advocate of training outdoors and have enjoyed running Bootcamps for several years at parks but when I was given the opportunity to take Bootcamp to Oakland Organic Egg Farm in Horsford I was so excited as it was the perfect location, giving us so much space enjoying the wonderful sights of the farm and allowing us to really get stuck into challenging strength with heavy tyres, embracing the local woods and using logs, battle ropes and plenty of other equipment, it’s been wonderful to see so many loving Bootcamp at the Farm, embracing the feel good factor of getting a little muddy and a great sense of achievement.
Amber was really nervous about coming along to Bootcamp but this Is what she had to say after her first session "Honestly I am on cloud 9! I have NEVER walked into a class and felt so comfortable and welcome"
"I see Sharon for bootcamp at the farm and I absolutely adore it... Being outside having fun and working on fitness is right up my street. Going to bootcamp really is the highlight of my week I thoroughly enjoy my time with Sharon and the other members of the group. I can’t recommend her highly enough" - Janean
Feedback like this is common and a true testament of the ethos behind Stronger, that everyone is welcome and made to feel comfortable and part of the wonderful team spirit we have.
If you are intimidated by the very thought of Bootcamp and think it is about someone screaming and shouting at you, it couldn’t be further from the truth, we are a team and work together, stick with it and you will soon see progress and love how strong feels!
Bootcamp Mantra "Not being able to do something is not failing, it’s a starting point to doing something you’ve never done before, that can only be exciting"
The farm has an egg shed where you can grab your organic eggs and lovely fresh local produce, you can even buy a breakfast box with all the ingredients to make some lovely fresh pancakes and berries on the Oakland website and have delivered to you at Bootcamp.
Orders can also be done online or collect from the farm, whilst you are there, take a walk through the lovely woods that back on to the farm. You may even see Ash, Jess and family around, they are always happy to chat and say hi.
